FAQs
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME AFTER LASER REJUVENATION?
Downtime ranges from none to several days, depending on the severity of your concern and the appropriate laser treatment. All laser treatments require you to avoid sun exposure for 2 weeks, and steam rooms and sauna for 48 hours as additional heat to the treatment area and could risk causing complications.
Â
DOES LASER REJUVENATION HURT?
Most clients find treatment tolerable due to inbuilt cooling technology to make your treatments as comfortable as possible.
Â
WHAT CAN I EXPECT AFTER LASER REJUVENATION TREATMENT?
You can expect some erythema (redness) and slight oedema (swelling) after a laser treatment but this will self-resolve after a day or two. For laser pigmentation, the pigment will rise to the surface before crusting and flaking off
Â
IF I’VE BEEN OUT IN THE SUN, USE A TANNING BED, OR USE SUNLESS TANNING PRODUCTS CAN I HAVE A LASER TREATMENT?
No. You should avoid sun exposure for two weeks before treatment
Â
HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?
The number of treatments required is dependent on the extent of your pigment or redness.
Â
HOW FREQUENT WILL MY LASER REJUVENATION TREATMENTS BE?
Treatments are usually spaced at 4 week intervals
Â
I HAVE TATTOOS – CAN YOU STILL TREAT ME WITH LASERS FOR REJUVENATION, PIGMENTATION AND REDNESS?
We cannot treat over a tattoo as the laser will target the pigment in the design and damage the tattoo. We can treat around it, however.
 Â
CAN I HAVE LASER REJUVENATION IF I AM PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING?
No. There is no absolute data in existence on the risk or otherwise to the baby in having laser treatment when pregnant or breast feedings and so we prefer to stay on the side of caution and say no.
Pregnancy hormones also increase the risk of hyperpigmentation caused through the heat of the laser which can lead to an undesirable aesthetic outcome.
